New Crochet Book

200 Crochet Blocks for Blankets, Throws and Afghans: Crochet Squares to Mix-and-Match

Got to love a bargain don't you!  I found this one on fishpond recently for a good deal!  Cheaper than it is there this week.  Woohoo!  It arrived today.  That's the only thing with these book places, they can take a little while to arrive.  But it's all worth it in the end.

I feel like I could manage some of these now.  I had this book from the library last year.  I looked at the patterns & basically gave up.   I wasn't experienced enough for them & couldn't make sense of much of it.  (Well the ones I looked at, that I liked at the time.)

After joining in the crochet along of squares on Ravelry at the beginning of the year I guess I have come a long way.    After the squares I have turned out during the year - 2 blankets worth plus a couple more, I think I could do it!  Yay for me!  lol

So now I will have to go & pick a colour way.  I might just save it for the new year or something at this stage.  I have a few other things to get on with of course.  Who doesn't?  I really should finish off a couple of other things that have turned into UFOs!  I have never had those before until I picked up this knitting & crochet stuff in the last couple of years!  Terrible really!  But I still like to be able to pick up whatever the mood wants me to do!

Ok, now I will go & do something mindless like my ripple blanket!  & I will have a little read of the book.

Do you have this book?  Which squares are your favourites?

Yep. I have this book. One of the first crochet books I ever got. It is fantastic. So much inspiration in there for sure.
